The US Congressman of Indiana, a member of the Committee on International Relations, Dan Burton, in his address to the Congress on Friday, called for recognition of the Khojaly massacre of Azerbaijanis perpetrated by Armenia in 1992.
Barton said that the recognition of the tragedy by the Congress will finally ‘break the ice’ in conveying the truth about the tragedy to the international community.
In his opening remarks, the Congressman said that “the mankind must know and remember” the tragedy. He said that whereas several members of the House of Representatives have called on the world community to recognize the so-called “Armenian genocide” for many years, they have not addressed the ethnic cleansing pursued by Armenia against Azerbaijan during the Upper Garabagh conflict.
“Khojaly had been a small city of Azerbaijan until 1992. Today, it has turned into a symbol of sorrow and mercilessness for all Azerbaijanis,” said Burton, briefing the Congress members on the Khojaly massacre.
613 people were brutally killed, 5 families eradicated and 1,275 people taken captives during the Khojaly slaughter, committed by Armenian armed forces with support of Russian military units on February 26, 1992. Besides, 1,000 civilians became handicapped and 150 missing persons during the carnage.

A British Airways flight was going to Tehran from London.
When it gets close to Tehran it starts having some kind of trouble.
The pilot contacts the air tower at Tehran airport and asks for help:
